KIWIFRUIT PROCESSING GUIDE

Aseptic Bulk Bag Packaging for Kiwifruit Puree and Juice

Specify bulk bags, fitments, drums, filling conditions and container handling for kiwifruit puree or juice. Coordinate the package with product treatment.

Choose the actual package system

A bulk bag-in-drum requirement should include the bag specification, fitment, fill quantity and outer container. These choices affect filling-head compatibility and container movement. The available two-head filling family shows two roller lanes for bulk operation. It should not be taken as a retail bottle, carton or pouch packaging line. State the package you intend to buy and handle, not only its approximate volume.

Coordinate the treated-product inlet

The product arriving at filling needs defined temperature, pressure, flow and physical properties. Discuss the thermal-processing outlet and any buffer or transfer arrangement together with the filling duty. An aseptic package does not remove the need for a validated product-treatment and sterile hand-off plan. The responsibilities for those parts of the route should be visible in the project scope.

Plan metering and container movement

Select the fill-control and verification method for the actual product and package. Empty containers must reach the working position, and completed containers need a safe route away from it. Include operator access, loading and handling constraints in the layout. The number of filling heads alone does not establish an hourly production rate because the product flow and container sequence also affect the operating duty.

Include the operating and cleaning boundary

Product connections, the filling head and external work zones need their own agreed procedures. Coordinate compatible closed circuits with the CIP supply and return paths. Bag fitment and package information should be exchanged before confirming the filler configuration. Ask for the inlet conditions, package scope, measurement arrangement and container-handling responsibilities to be stated in the quotation.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you choose your equipment.

Does two-head mean a fixed filling capacity?

No. Product conditions, fill quantity, metering and container movement must be included in the selection.

Can I use a different bag neck?

Provide the actual fitment specification so the filling configuration can be reviewed.
