Compare the intended ingredient first
Puree emphasizes the body, texture, fibre and seed condition of the fruit ingredient. A juice or beverage-base route needs a separate liquid-product specification, including retained solids and appearance. These objectives influence preparation, extraction and finishing choices. Defining the product before listing equipment is more useful than treating the same machine set as a universal line for every kiwifruit application.
Identify the duties that change
Peel and fruit preparation must suit the intended product. Pulping and finishing need texture, seed and fibre criteria, while a juice route requires a defined extraction arrangement. Conditional liquid separation should be selected for a measurable inlet and outlet duty. If filtration is needed, it is a separate requirement; it should not be inferred from the presence of a separator in the equipment list.
Compare quotations on a common basis
Use the same material inlet, capacity basis, working hours, product description, package and utilities when comparing proposals. Incoming fruit tonnage, prepared-pulp flow and finished-liquid output cannot be compared as if they were the same rating. Include cleaning, controls, installation and acceptance scope in the comparison. For a shared line, also describe the product changeover and the operating schedule.
