Kiwifruit Puree Production: Equipment and Line Selection

Plan kiwifruit puree production from fruit preparation to pulping, thermal treatment and bulk packaging. Define texture, capacity and seed criteria before selection.

Begin with the ingredient you want to supply

Puree is selected for a defined body and texture, rather than simply for a liquid flow. Describe whether the ingredient will be used in beverages, desserts or another downstream product, and provide a sample or written acceptance criteria. The requirement should distinguish visible seed condition, residual peel, fibre and consistency. These observations help choose preparation and finishing duties; they do not establish a machine setting on their own.

Connect preparation to pulping and finishing

Whole fruit needs receiving, washing, inspection and an agreed preparation method before it reaches the pulper. A combined two-stage pulper and finisher provides sequential duties on one assembly. Screen selection and feed preparation must be considered together. Asking a finishing stage to compensate for undefined peel removal makes both the product target and the equipment quotation difficult to compare.

  • Identify the incoming cultivar, maturity and firmness range.
  • Describe the preparation method and material entering the pulper.
  • Agree the sample and observation method for the finished puree.

Balance flow before treatment and packaging

Process tanks help manage the difference between upstream operating cycles and downstream demand. Their useful working volume, agitation and temperature duty follow the product and schedule. Thermal processing is selected from the actual puree properties and the required treatment objective. Bulk bag filling must then match the product outlet, bag fitment and handling arrangement. These are connected selections, rather than interchangeable catalogue capacities.

Request a proposal with a clear capacity basis

A whole-fruit input rate and a finished-puree output rate are different quantities. State which one your requirement refers to, along with operating hours and expected product changes. Include your preferred bulk package and site utility conditions. A useful proposal can then identify the process flow, equipment duties and preparation, transfer, cleaning and installation responsibilities for the scope being discussed.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you choose your equipment.

Does pulping replace fruit preparation?

No. Washing, inspection and the agreed peel or preparation method remain upstream duties. Pulping and finishing are selected for the prepared feed and target puree.

Can a capacity be selected from the product photograph?

No. Capacity must be tied to the material condition, screen selection, operating schedule and named input or output basis.
